How Stichting Jong Leren found a school principal within 6 weeks.

Let us introduce ourselves: Jong Leren is a foundation for religious education with 22 primary schools and wants to offer its students inspiring education. Values such as love, respect, responsibility, reliability and security are the basis from which Jong Leren works, with a heart for the child and care for each other.

Parents like to bring their children to these schools and teachers like to work there because they: learn together, give each other space and challenge each other. Each school gives shape to this in its own unique way, so that students, parents and staff reap the benefits.

The challenge: recruiting a new school principal and building a strong employer brand.

With 22 primary schools in the region of Zuid-Kennemerland, Haarlemmermeer and Aalsmeer, Jong leren is a medium-sized educational foundation. Good and future-oriented education go hand in hand with the right teacher in the right place. A considerable task in the current labor market of education where there is a huge shortage of teachers.

Recruitment Marketeers initially started with the recruitment of a new school principal. In order to set up a campaign, the size of the target group and the right pull factors were examined. What is attractive content for this target group and what are the media channels where this type of candidate can be found? With our own data and data from our partner Intelligence Group, a customized advice was created.

The result? By using the right channels and appealing content for this (latent) and very scarce target group, sufficient applications were received within two weeks, including two very suitable candidates. The ideal candidate was then selected and Jong leren was helped with a new school director for one of their primary schools.

 

Our biggest challenge is to reach the target group, especially in a time of tightness on the labor market. Potential candidates now have plenty of choice in schools. We want to be present and visible in their list of choices. We experience the collaboration with Recruitment Marketeers as effective and cooperative, so that our visibility is increasing.
